Prospering Present
Through the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Landrew has led the St. Stephen Church Family into a diversified ministry with a focus on soul-winning for the kingdom.  When he became Pastor, the membership consisted of less than 50 families; today well over 2000 families call St. Stephen their spiritual home.  To accommodate the tremendous growth, the church was ushered into a new location and a multi-million dollar church plant.  With an ever increasing demand for ministry space, plans are now being developed for the second major building project inside of a decade.During Pastor Landrew’s tenure, the vision and influence of the church has broadened.  The Ministry now consists of an Academy and Daycare which runs a continuous waiting list serving the educational and care need of children six months to six years.  An evolving Children’s and Youth Ministry focuses on the progressive development of young minds, and strives to explain the principles of God’s Word and how to apply them in real-life situations.

A Promising Future

Along with these and many other ministries, Pastor Landrew and the St. Stephen Baptist Church purchased a hospital building in 2004, located at 5815 Airline, Houston, Texas.  The 96,000 square foot facility provides professional medical services that are diverse in nature, based on the needs of the local community and city at large.  This new addition to the Ministry has been named St. Stephen Medical Center.

Our Church purpose statement is “Demonstrating God’s Love” and our mission statement is “A Church embracing the People of Isaiah 61″. Thus, the vision of St. Stephen is to “To Fulfill our Purpose by Accomplishing our Mission”.

Our Foundation Scripture:

John 13:35 – By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
